THE ENDGAME

Okay, this isn't about the Avengers, but I got you to come and see. LOL!

If you haven’t watched The Chosen Livestream that aired yesterday (Monday), then please do not read this yet. I don’t want to spoil it for you. It is truly like no other live stream that The Chosen has ever done.

We were introduced to a remarkable young woman named Meghan who God has brought out of Human Sex Trafficking where she has been since she was a toddler. The abuse and trauma she has experienced are beyond human comprehension.

Even though I never had the experience of being human trafficked, I had been in an abusive relationship. In some areas, I could relate to what Meghan had shared. God saved me. He took me out of a relationship that almost cost me my life on several occasions. He loved me right where I was at. He brought people into my life that loved me and helped me through some pretty difficult times.

Dallas said something that really resonated with me, “The Chosen isn’t the endgame. Discipleship, pouring into others, loving as Jesus loved is the endgame.”

It made me think, am I really doing those things? Have I been so caught up in my pain and trials that I haven’t disciplined, poured into others, or loved others like Jesus loves? To be honest with you, I am not sure. Don't get me wrong. There needs to be a season of grieving, restoration, and healing.

At that moment, I began to cry and ask the Lord to forgive me if I haven’t. I want others to know about him. I want them to know that no matter where they have gone, what they have done, it doesn’t matter, Jesus loves them with unconditional love, right where they are.

He took on all our pain, all our sorrows, sins, addictions, etc to the cross. He came to give us life and life abundantly. We can find healing and restoration in him. Then his desire is for us to share with others what he has done for us so they too can experience the loving, healing, and saving grace of God.

So how do we start to disciple, pour into others, and love as Jesus loved? We can simply start by first surrendering ourselves to God with a heart wide open to be used by him any way he chooses. Then act!

We don’t have to start a ministry unless we feel like God is calling us to. You can pour into others by ministering to their needs. Maybe there is someone that is a widower and needs their lawn mowed. Maybe someone is barely making ends meet and you can provide a meal or groceries. Maybe there is a neighbor that lives alone that you can get to know and offer up your time. We are being the hands and feet of Jesus when we are helping those in need.

There are so many opportunities in our everyday life to disciple, pour into others, and love others the way that Jesus loved if we just have a willing heart. That is truly the endgame.

“And this is his commandment, that we believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and love one another, just as he has commanded us.” ~ 1 John 3:23

For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, Matthew 25:35

If you pour yourself out for the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then shall your light rise in the darkness and your gloom be as the noonday. Isaiah 58:10

But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth. 1 John 3:17-18

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. Hebrews 10:24-25

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Matthew 28:19
